Newstead (2016) > Construct
From the onset, we knew that this three bedroom, two bathroom dwelling was going to be a challenge to accurately fit on the restricted size of the site and close proximity to the street. Compact in plan and simple in form, this dwelling maximises its size through the introduction of a 3m ceiling and highlight windows in the kitchen and living area. Bathrooms and the kitchen were finished with modest colours and textures as to reduce their impact on the size of the room. The crisp finishes, landscaped yard and private BBQ area provide this house with the possibility to expand and contract throughout the year, despite the size restriction of the land on which it was built.
From the very start of our build we had a goal. We were determined to have a great experience! ‘My Build’ were recommended to us and, from the outset, we could tell that Murray and his Team would work with us to achieve this goal.
We built through one of the wettest winters on record, on a tiny 340m2 block, in an established suburb, with one of the busiest school ‘drop-off’ and ‘pick-up’ streets in East Launceston – and still, the house was completed in the contract-allowed time frame.
The test is;
- Would you use My Build again? Definitely…
- Would you recommend My Build? Absolutely…
In summary, we could not have asked My Build for a better result for our newly built home and the whole process with Murray, Sara and their Team.
